I wasn’t able to join in on this class but I looked back at the class recording and followed along:
This is the story I created:
First breakout session:
Issues of bias:
Different races are being hit harder by COVID-19
Black and Hispanic communities have the most cases
Why? = they live in more densely populated areas - easier spread of virus
Most times face discrimination in medical treatment
Myth: black people have thicker skin
Pain is regarded differently to them
White people going out and cops hand out masks to them
Minorities go out and cops act more aggressively and with violence
Workshop:
Take all the infected, health, and recovered into different groups
Community of the recovered look at their similarities
Behavior
Character
Actions
Childhoods
Medical histories
Etc...
All find one thing in common - all adopted a pet
What happens to bald people?
Do wigs work?
Main character: 25 year old woman, height: 5’5, eye color: dark brown, pets: a cockatoo, a one-eyed bunny and a pitbull.
When we do good things in life, the universe rewards us
(mistreating you pet or only getting it for selfish reasons ruins the good thing and immunity is gone)
Saving a pet by adopting it and giving a better home = cure from deadly plague
Result: dog pounds and other animal shelter shut down because all animals have loving homes, people have a new best friend, virus = GONE
Villain(s): people adopting for selfish reason and don't care for the animals
(mistreating you pet or only getting it for selfish reasons ruins the good thing and immunity is gone)
